The Longest Day, Revisited

"I am in South Korea. After approximately three months back home in Wisconsin, I have returned to Daejeon to teach another year at my hagwon. When I first traveled to South Korea, I wrote about it in a blog post. Coincidentally, my second flight to Incheon International Airport followed the same route and schedule."

Riding the rails and Korean public transit

"I have to give a great amount of credit to the Korean government because their public transit system phenomenal. I have only been living in Daejeon for a little more than six months, but thanks to South Korea's quick and convenient public transportation network I have already been able to visit Seoul and Busan numerous times each, as well as Cheonan, Daegu, Ulsan, and countless small towns on my way to Byeonsanbando National Park."

Byeonsanbando National Park

"When I first started pursuing a job teaching English abroad, I often found myself daydreaming about hitchhiking down country roads lined with rice paddies, hiking up and down rural mountains, jumping into remote pools fed by waterfalls, and lounging on a beach with a beer and friends from all around the world.

Last weekend I did exactly that when three friends and I trekked to Byeonsanbando National Park."
